GBP 180.00 Originally published in 1711 under imperial auspices, this is a reduced facsimile of the Palace editions of 1711 and 1720. This monumental reference work collects phrases and allusions classified by their last character or rhyme. The phase is then elucidated by quotations illustrating its usage which are derived from similar earlier works, a wide range of literary sources, selected parallel phrases (duiyu) and lines useful for writing poetry (zeju).
