The delicate and detailed lithographic illustrations are by the innovative late-19th century artist Ren Fuchang (1835-1893), better-known as Ren Xun. The pages of illustration and text are interspersed by blank leaves. The work is complete. A very rare work by the premier Shanghai lithography publisher, Dianshizhai.
