GBP 35.00 This is a little bit outside our specialist field (despite our long-standing bibliophilia and an occasional tendency to bibliographic experimentalism), however we have made an exception for this title since it contains an intelligently anthologized extract from Billeter on 'The Chinese art of writing', a brief introduction to the 'Hyakunin Isshu', and a short essay on Xu Bing's wonderful 'Tianshu' (Book from the Sky) by our own John Cayley. Moreover, we are sure that fellow book-lovers will find much else of interest in this extensive volume edited by one of America's finest anthologists and a prominent New York-based art book publisher.
