GBP 35.00 Huang Yuji (1629-91) was a highly-respected bibliophile and scholar who, amongst other things, worked on the official history of the Ming dynasty. His father assembled a personal library, known as the Qianqing Studio, of 60,000 volumes to which Huang added a further 20,000. This is his bibliography of chiefly Ming literature, considered to be one of the best and most reliable ever produced. It also includes many references to earlier works.
