Fine modern facsimile (now out of print) of a work originally issued in 1826 containing biographical material on Confucius and the other sages of Confucianism down the ages. The main work is illustrated with woodcut portraits of these sages. Appended to this work is an edition of the 'Shengji Tu', a biography of Confucius, illustrated with scenes from his life, and a similar work on Mencius, the 'Mengzi Shengji Tu'. In Chinese only.
