The focus is on Chinese porcelain exported to Sweden and the catalogue is illustrated with fullpage colour plates showing 152 fine examples from Swedish collections. There is also a section on the discovery of the Yangshao Culture by the Swedish archaeologist, Andersson. 13 fine Yangshao pots are illustrated. Also a number of Qing dynasty examples (12) of ceramics made in the Forbidden City decorated with painted enamels that, at the time, were reserved for the exclusive use of the imperial court.
