Large catalogue of an exhibition exploring the varied ceramics produced in the Momoyama period, viewed as one of the golden ages of Japanese ceramics. In addition to extensive illustration of Momoyama pieces, there are also wonderful Song and Yuan ceramics, early Korean pieces, some Annamese ceramics and Ming porcelains that inspired the Momoyama potters. There are also some modern ceramics that, in their turn, draw inspiration from the Momoyama period. All pieces exhibited come from Japanese collections. Illustrated throughout in colour.
